Responsibilities
Provide direct clinical services to the inmates of the Substance Abuse Treatment program as a "Primary Counselor".
As the Primary Counselor, complete initial assessments, group and individual counseling, and discharge summaries in a timely manner.
Conduct psycho‑educational modules for all program participants.
Evaluate inmates referred for substance abuse treatment services to determine the appropriate level of treatment and, if applicable, the necessary agency to provide required services.
Document inmate evaluation or program participation in accordance with program procedures.
Key Qualifications
State certification as a substance abuse counselor.
Experience providing services within a correctional setting is preferred.
A background check, security clearance and drug screening are required for this role.
