Job Requirements and Duties You must be 18 years of age or older.
Have a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record meeting company standards and access to an insured vehicle that can be used for delivery.
Possess navigational skills to read a map, locate addresses within the designated delivery area, and navigate adverse terrain, including multi‑story buildings.
Operate all equipment.
Stock ingredients from the delivery area to storage, work area, and walk‑in cooler.
Prepare the product.
Orientation and on‑the‑job training.
Demonstrate strong communication skills: give correct written instructions and communicate verbally with customers and co‑workers to process orders over the phone and in person.
Add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly (may use a calculator).
Make correct monetary change.
Use verbal, written, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
Operate motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers to make precise movements with speed.
Enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
Work Conditions
Exposure to varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions when removing trash and performing other outside tasks.
In‑store temperatures ranging from 36°F in the cooler to 90°F and above in other work areas.
Sudden changes in temperature in the work area and while outside.
Fumes from food odors.
Exposure to cornmeal dust.
Cramped quarters including walk‑in cooler.
Hot surfaces/tools from the oven up to 500°F or higher.
Sharp edges and moving mechanical parts.
Sensing
Talking and hearing on the telephone.
Near and mid‑range vision for most in‑store tasks.
Depth perception.
Ability to differentiate between hot and cold surfaces.
Temperaments and Essential Skills
Direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work alone and with others, work under stress, meet strict quality control standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, make judgments and decisions.
Navigate adverse terrain, including multi‑story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites while carrying product.
Physical Demands
Carrying: carrying pizzas and beverages while walking, climbing, and delivering.
Multiple deliveries per shift may be required.
Driving: deliver pizzas within a designated delivery area.
Walking: travel between the store and delivery vehicle and from the vehicle to the customer’s location.
Climbing: navigation of five or more flights of stairs may be required.
Additional Physical Requirements
Standing: most tasks performed from a standing position.
Walking: for short distances and durations.
Sitting: paperwork completed in an office at a desk or table.
Lifting: bulk product deliveries unloaded with a hand truck; cases of ingredients and supplies up to 50 lbs may be lifted and stacked up to 72 in. high.
Carrying: large cans, pizza sauce, and trays of dough carried over short distances.
Pushing: move trays on dollies or pull them; force up to 7.5 lbs may be required.
Stooping/Bending: forward bending at the waist required at the pizza assembly station; duration approximately 30–45 s at a time, repeated continuously.
Crouching/Squatting: performed occasionally to stock shelves and clean low areas.
Reaching: continuously up, down, and forward up to 72 in. above the head for controls and shelves.
Hand Tasks: eye‑hand coordination essential; use of hands continuous; frequent use of forearms, wrists, and fingers.
Equipment, Tools, and Aids Team members may use pencils/pens, computers, telephones, calculators, TDD equipment, pizza cutters, and pizza peels.
Driving Specific Job Duties
Deliver product by car to the customer’s door.
Deliver flyers and door hangers.
Requirements
