Job Summary Responsible for assisting with the development, communication, implementation and monitoring of comprehensive environmental, health, safety and DOT programs; policies and procedures to reduce accidental losses and protect company assets; ensure vendor, contractor, and customer safety; and, ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements. Act as a resource and subject matter expert for internal and external customers in matters relating to environmental, health, safety and DOT concerns. Provide due diligence and integration support services and expertise to enable company growth and limit future liability.
Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities
Develops strategic plans for the creation and integration of environmental, health, safety and DOT programs, policies and procedures into newly acquired businesses. Manages EHS integration staff, integration resources and tracking the integration progress.
Conducts and manages due diligence for potential acquisitions in order to identify, assess and quantify risks and integration costs related to environmental, health, safety and DOT compliance.
Analyzes compliance, performance and incident trends as a basis for directing and developing appropriate strategic initiatives and metrics.
Develops strategic plans for industrial hygiene monitoring and sampling protocol, and implements required programs such as Hearing Conservation and Respiratory Protection based on testing results.
Provides technical support and serves as information resource for internal and external customers.
Trains, mentors, and coaches business partners as well as monitoring site practices and conditions.
Communicates effectively with all business partners to maintain clear lines of communication and consistent execution of programs.
Preferred Qualifications
5+ years experience managing teams of EHS professionals. International EHS standards and practices experience.
Six Sigma, ISO 14001, OSHA VPP, and international experience.
Due diligence and integration experience.
Fluency in Spanish language preferred.

Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline.
Generally 7+ years of experience in a related field.
May require certification. Advanced degree may offset less experience in some disciplines.

Usually in a comfortable environment but with regular exposure to factors causing moderate physical discomfort from such things as dust, fumes, or odors.
Typically requires overnight travel 20% to 50% of the time.
Most of the time is spent sitting in the same position or standing/walking and/or there is some requirement to lift or handle material or equipment of moderate weight (8-20 pounds).
Pay: $ 102,863.63 - $146,948.05 per year
