Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking and have experience cooking in a large industrial kitchen. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes, ensuring that they are of high quality and meet our customers' expectations. In this position you will also work with a dietitian to ensure our persons served nutritional needs are met.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, including appetizers, entrees, and desserts
Follow recipes and ensure that all dishes are prepared to our high standards
Monitor food stock levels and place orders when necessary
Ensure that the kitchen is clean and organized at all times
Work with the kitchen team to ensure that all dishes are prepared promptly
Maintain a safe and hygienic working environment
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Cook
Knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, and procedures
Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environmentExcellent communication and teamwork skills
High school diploma or equivalent; culinary school diploma is a plus
Compensation Rate: $17.25/hr
17.25-17.25 Hourly Wage
