Job Description The position is for Equinox's Seattle locations as a Studio Cycling Instructor. Key responsibilities include:
Deliver the Equinox Experience to members in each class.
Adhere to the class description and modify intensity for participants as needed.
Continuously monitor exercise intensity throughout the class.
Ensure classes begin and end on time.
Assist members with technical/mechanical support on the bike to maximize their experience.
Teach classes on a regular basis and keep subbing to a minimum.
Communicate with the Group Fitness Manager regarding member feedback, equipment and operational status, scheduling, and subbing.
Qualifications
Current cycling certification (Schwinn or Stages indoor cycling certifications highly recommended). Certification is not required to audition but must be completed prior to teaching.
Current CPR/AED certification.
Well-versed in basic anatomy, kinesiology, contraindicated exercises, exercise modifications for all populations, and ACSM Guidelines for frequency, intensity, duration, and mode.
Motivation to learn and pursue ongoing professional development and education.
Friendly, vibrant, and outgoing personality.
Pay Transparency $60.00–$80.00 per class; $21.30 per hour for non-class work.
