JOB ROLE AND SUMMARY
Job Title: Music Teachers (Piano, Voice, Guitar, Bass, Woodwinds, Brass, Percussion)
Reports to: Program Coordinator
Direct Reports: N/A
Classification: Part-time, Flexible schedule, In‑Person, Remote, or Hybrid
We are a Minneapolis‑based nonprofit music school seeking to add experienced music teachers to our growing organization.
MISSION Hopewell’s mission is to improve access to music education in North Minneapolis through affordable, inclusive, and engaging music programs

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare and teach private lessons ranging from 30‑min to 1‑hour weekly
Monitor and record the progress of each student
Attend mandatory staff meetings and trainings
Foster an engaging and inspiring learning environment which focuses on the whole being of the student
Must be a legal resident of MN
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
Degree in music or equivalent experience
Passion for teaching & commitment to continuing development of teaching skills
Understanding of multiple musical styles
Excellent technique and proficiency in performance
Strong interest in working with diverse socioeconomic groups
Knowledge of cultural competency and ability to adapt to ensure inclusive participation
COMPENSATION
$26‑40 per Hour
Employee status w/ taxes withheld
