Job Summary: This position is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of the data flow into and through various technology platforms through team management to support the Foodbuy revenue tracking model, and to drive key analytics and business initiatives. This position requires an understanding of master data management, data validation, and root cause analysis. This position is responsible achieving results through others and is expected to develop and mentor associates throughout their career.
Responsibilities
Provide tactical leadership for an organization consisting of 4-8 direct reports.
Establish and maintain high standards around master data and data analytics.
Formulate new methodologies to drive efficiencies and increase customer data capture.
Engage in ongoing and detailed evaluation and monitoring of data quality, integrity, accuracy, and consistency.
Profile data to identify gaps/problems and collaborate with key stakeholders to recommend and implement viable options to resolve.
Present findings to senior management and solicit feedback via formal & informal communication.
Establish and implement SMART KPIs and achieve world-class results through metrics management and holding associates accountable to established targets.
Lead special projects and allocate resources as needed.
Foster a positive team environment that encourages open dialog and facilitates positive growth/change.
Understand the role that data plays in other areas of the business and the downstream impacts of the team's work product.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required; equivalent work experience considered.
Minimum 5-6 years of experience in distribution, foodservice, master data management, or financial analysis.
Minimum 2-3 years experience managing people. Internal Foodbuy experience considered in lieu of management experience.
Experience operating in a large, complex corporate environment; Compass/Foodbuy ecosystem knowledge is a plus.
Experience working with CRM platforms, contract management systems, and/or Master Data Management (MDM) platforms.
Hands‑on experience with data analytics and visualization tools (Power BI, SQL, Power Query).
Proven ability to lead organizational change and make effective decisions in fast‑paced, ambiguous environments.
Results‑driven with a creative, solution‑oriented approach to process improvement and ad hoc problem‑solving.
Familiarity with trend analysis, forecasting, and performance reporting in a commercial context.
Skilled in influencing and collaborating with stakeholders and driving outcomes through both formal and informal channels.
Strong organizational, presentation, and remote meeting facilitation skills.
Excellent communicator and presenter, skilled at translating complex data into business‑relevant insights.
Comfortable leading cross‑functional meetings and presenting to senior management.
