About the role

We are seeking a seasoned AI Consultant to support its Mortgage Engineering Services practice. This is a client-facing, onsite role focused on shaping and delivering AI-led transformation initiatives across the mortgage and banking ecosystem. The position blends deep mortgage domain expertise, AI strategy, and pre-sales leadership, supporting lenders and servicers across origination, underwriting, servicing, and quality control. The ideal candidate brings strong functional credibility (approximately 70% domain / 30% technical) and is comfortable leading executive conversations, workshops, and solution discovery.

What you will do

Lead discovery sessions, requirements analysis, and solution shaping for AI-driven mortgage modernization

Act as a strategic advisor to lenders and servicers on AI adoption, roadmaps, and process automation

Drive proposal development, RFP responses, value narratives, and client-facing materials

Conduct executive briefings and represent AI capabilities in customer meetings and industry forums

Apply deep understanding of the end-to-end mortgage lifecycle: origination, underwriting, closing, secondary, servicing, QC, risk & compliance, default/collections

Identify operational inefficiencies and translate them into AI-enabled use cases

Stay current on MISMO standards, UMDP initiatives, GSE guidelines, and regulatory considerations

Define mortgage-specific AI/ML/genAI use cases across front, middle, and back office

Collaborate with engineering, DataOps, and MLOps teams on solution architectures

Build ROI models, maturity assessments, and adoption roadmaps aligned to client readiness

Shape verticalized AI offerings and reusable frameworks for the mortgage domain

Lead AI strategy workshops, ideation sessions, and deep-dive assessments

Educate clients on AI patterns, agent-based solutions, governance, and responsible AI

Develop playbooks, whitepapers, and thought leadership focused on mortgage AI transformation

Partner with sales, solution architects, data scientists, and engineering teams throughout the deal cycle

Support demos, PoCs, pilots, and accelerators that strengthen the mortgage AI portfolio

Requirements

8+ years in mortgage technology, consulting, AI services, or related financial services advisory roles

Demonstrated pre-sales experience, including leading workshops, crafting proposals, and supporting deal cycles

Hands-on familiarity with AI/ML concepts (predictive modeling, document intelligence, generative AI, agentic automation)

Experience working with mortgage platforms such as Encompass, ICE, Blend, MeridianLink, servicing systems, pricing/eligibility engines, and workflow tools

Strong understanding of mortgage operations, borrower experience, underwriting, credit/risk, QC, servicing, escrow, default, and compliance

Knowledge of GSE guidelines, MISMO standards, and UMDP modernization initiatives

Ability to translate business pain points into AI-feasible solutions and architectural options

Understanding of data flows, APIs, document processing, and decisioning workflows

Experience collaborating with DataOps, MLOps, and engineering teams

Strong communication, storytelling, and executive-facing presentation skills

Ability to lead cross-functional teams during pre-sales and solutioning cycles

Comfort operating in ambiguous environments and shaping structured frameworks

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Finance, or a related field

Advanced degree preferred but not required

Industry certifications in AI/ML, cloud platforms, or mortgage systems are a plus
