About the Position:

This position is located at 78th Medical Group at Robins Air Force Base, Houston County, Georgia. It is located near the city of Warner Robins, Georgia.

This is a Direct Hire Solicitation

Duties

Direct programs and activities of Public Health and Occupational Health within the Medical Treatment Facility, ensuring compliance with legal requirements, developing goals and objectives, and liaising with other organizations and/or customers.

Develop Public Health policies and procedures that support Public Health missions, making recommendations to improve quality, timeliness, and efficiency of work.

Conduct supervisory functions such as planning/assigning work and deadlines, preparing schedules, evaluating employee performance, handling grievances or minor disciplinary actions, identifying training needs, and selecting candidates for vacancies.

Oversee funding management to identify requirements and initiate requests for additional resources, personnel, overtime, equipment, supplies, and space.

Solve customer problems by researching issues, creating reports, and recommending appropriate action.

Requirements

Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.

A Personnel Security Investigation is required.

This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.

One-year supervisory probationary period required. A one-year probationary period is required if the selectee has not previously met this requirement.

Selectees will be required to sign a statement (Condition of Employment) consenting to seasonal influenza vaccinations or must provide a recognized exemption.

Tuberculin (TB) test is required.

Immunization screening is required. Hepatitis B immunization is required for all positions with direct patient contact. Applicants may be required to show proof of other immunizations depending on the type of position.

Must be able to obtain and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Red Cross. Advanced certification (e.g., ALS) does not supersede BLS.
