Director of Nursing (DON)
to lead our compassionate clinical team at our pediatric surgery center in Philadelphia. If you thrive in a fast‑paced environment, can pivot quickly with changing needs, and love working with children—this is the opportunity for you.
Responsibilities
Lead and supervise nursing and support staff across Pre‑Op, OR, and PACU
Coordinate safe and efficient patient care with providers and administrative leaders
Ensure staffing ratios and assignments align with patient needs
Participate in hiring, training, and coaching of clinical team members
Maintain nursing documentation and ensure regulatory compliance
Oversee infection control, quality improvement, and credentialing processes
Collaborate with administrators to ensure smooth day‑to‑day operations
Participate in regulatory inspections and act as the facility’s
Patient Safety Officer
Qualifications
Active RN license
Charge nurse or nurse leadership experience
Pediatric or surgical experience strongly preferred
Must be flexible, adaptable, and comfortable making fast decisions
Excellent clinical, communication, and organizational skills
CPR/BLS (ACLS/PALS a plus)
