Job Description
Xpedient is a full-service 3rd party logistics provider. We have experience helping a diverse client base in warehousing services, transportation management, supply chain management, order fulfillment and labor needs.
Shift:
7:30 am to 4:00 pm
Summary Our Team Members operate powered industrial equipment such as stand‑up forklifts. Tasks include loading/unloading pallets and tires, picking, staging orders, putting away pallets, and other general work. This Freight Handler will work in the inventory department and will need to be computer savvy to be successful.
Roles And Responsibilities
Manually consolidate tire inventory daily through repetitive lifting of 30-45 lbs
Perform inventory duties (cycle counting, order verifications, discrepancy investigations)
WMS Experience – SAP preferably
High attention to detail
Conduct operations in a manner promoting safety
Help truck driver unload the shipment using the appropriate pallet jack
Process tire shipments and verify count matches Packing List, Shipping Manifest or BOL
Sort tires according to procedure for each type of tire, wheel or equipment
Must be super‑efficient in all tasks required
Put away inbound shipments/move product to storage locations using a forklift
Picking tires onto pallets using the powered equipment
Prepare product for shipment ensuring the exact number and correct item is staged for loading
Keep appropriate records and reports for inventory accuracy
Report quality variances
Maintain the facility's equipment and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion
Assist in any required physical inventories
Complete daily inspection of equipment
Perform additional duties as assigned by management
Ensure proper stock rotation
Complete a forklift training program
Comply with all OSHA and MSDS standards
Ability to read, understand and follow instructions, and to code applicable documents
Qualifications
Lifting cases weighing from 30 to 60 pounds repeatedly throughout a long work period
Stand‑up forklift, Cherry Picker or Wave experience preferred
Must be able to pass Forklift Driving Skills test
Minimum of 6 months of forklift and warehouse experience
18 years or older
Experience working in a high‑speed manufacturing environment (team‑oriented, deadline driven, high performance demands, fast‑paced)
Ability to drive a forklift and perform basic operations such as forward/backward driving, lifting, lower boom, and maneuvering in tight areas without damaging product
Experience with racking systems and loading/unloading pallets (pulling and placing pallets on/off vertical product racking systems and trucks, maximizing storage by stacking products vertically)
Understanding of OSHA requirements on minimum/maximum speeds, signaling, and placing products in appropriate areas
Safety
Observe and follow health and safety regulations
Enforce operating instructions and safety policies
Assist management in establishing warehouse standards and procedures
Maintain detailed records of safety incidents
Assign designated safety personnel
Maintain warehouse in a clean safe and orderly condition
Compensation details 22 Hourly Wage
