Summary Responsible for sourcing and purchasing goods and services to achieve best value through supplier selection, bidding, and negotiation. Supports manufacturing needs by issuing purchase orders, coordinating deliveries, and managing suppliers for parts, materials, and services of limited scope and complexity.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field (or equivalent experience)
Entry-level role; internship or limited industry experience acceptable
CPM certification preferred
Knowledge of purchasing, negotiation practices, and business operations
Understanding of procurement-related legal and regulatory requirements
Familiarity with continuous improvement concepts
Experience with ERP/MRP systems, EDI, and standard business software
Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
Ability to interpret financial reports and manage priorities independently
