Responsibilities

Prepare design‑development and contract documents specifications for technical projects while ensuring compatibility with drawings and/or technical conditions.

Write technical specifications in compliance with project requirements, acceptable standards and existing laws, rules, regulations and codes.

Prepare bid sheet and measurement and payment section of specifications.

Assist with legal and “front‑end” specification, including but not limited to general conditions, supplementary general conditions, and any other necessary and related documents.

Have significant breadth of knowledge with ability to recommend materials, procedures and technical specifications requirements and contents, and to oversee production of completed documents and specifications.

Maintain master specification sections for use on corporate level, and modify these standard sections as construction industry changes.

Perform other duties as needed.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering or a combination of education and relevant experience.

A minimum of 5 years experience working with specifications.

Knowledge in the ability to recommend materials, procedures, and technical specifications requirements and contents.

Experience with Microsoft Office.
