Clayton
Clayton’s in‑house Photography Team supports the business with commercial and creative photography for the website, social channels and print. The Photographer II role is a collaborative, self‑motivated position responsible for leading photo shoots, managing project workflows, editing images, and maintaining photo archives while working closely with stakeholders and leadership.
Responsibilities
Photograph a variety of subjects—including home exteriors, interiors, people, commercial/lifestyle, events, and products—while adhering to brand guidelines.
Select props, locations, lighting and equipment to achieve desired creative results.
Light subjects using natural and artificial lighting, flash, and reflectors; understand how lighting setups impact settings, tone, and skin.
Create compositions based on creative direction and project needs.
Photograph a wide range of home styles, models, facilities and design samples.
Cover internal events, headshots, company initiatives and philanthropy efforts.
Operate drones and 3D cameras (Matterport) to capture content.
Lead discovery meetings with stakeholders to understand goals, story and product requirements.
Determine procurement of props, equipment or third‑party support and arrange rentals.
Plan travel logistics, budget and communications for various projects.
Communicate complex artistic concepts in clear terms to people at all levels.
Collaborate with marketing teams to deliver platform‑specific assets.
Direct and manage pre‑shoot preparations, scouting, concept decks, gear checks and vendor communication.
Prioritize photo opportunities and manage scheduling for social media, customer testimonials and external PR events.
Support marketing and enterprise initiatives through creative process contributions.
Retouch, resize and enhance images using Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom, including complex edits such as sky and window replacements, compositing and AI‑driven alterations.
Apply editing style consistent with brand guidelines and stakeholder requests.
Cull images to deliver required collections and coordinate reviews with stakeholders.
Upload and organize assets with metadata, collections and portals for searchability.
Maintain metadata standards and troubleshoot data asset management platforms.
Requirements
Diverse portfolio showcasing interior and exterior real‑estate photography that aligns with brand guidelines.
Strong attention to detail and well‑developed artistic aesthetic.
High proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and advanced photo editing.
Consistent shooting and editing within visual brand guidelines.
Applied knowledge of manual camera settings, light, colour, composition and angle.
Ability to shoot quickly, flexibly and meet tight deadlines.
Effectiveness in cross‑departmental collaboration and prioritization.
Organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
Self‑motivation and proactive initiative to grow and learn.
Understanding of enterprise goals to guide art direction and content decisions.
Professional, culturally aware, and able to build rapport at all levels.

Education Bachelor’s degree in Photography or equivalent practical experience.
Years of Related Experience 5+ years of professional photography experience.
Licenses & Certifications FAA Drone Certification (sUAS Pilot’s License).
Travel Requirements Extensive travel, including traversing uneven terrain, walking up and down stairs, driving regularly, and carrying heavy equipment (cameras, tripods, drones, cases, etc.).
