Job Summary Responsible for prospecting and running Heartland Payments presentations both in person and over the phone to business owners or Financial Institution (FI) Partners to close deals within a fast sales cycle. The Financial Institutions Relationship Manager (FI‑RM) reports to a District Manager, receives coaching from a Director, explains our value proposition via Atlas CRM and Salesforce, upsells current clients on Heartland products and services, and maintains regular communication with the FI District Manager.
Job Duties
Engage in partner activity by visiting assigned FI branch locations to build and maintain trusted partnerships.
Foster strong relationships, align with branch goals, and serve as key resource to drive collaboration and success.
Attend initial appointments with District Manager during training to learn short‑cycle sales process, lead generation, sales presentations, client financial analysis and paperless contract processing.
Prospect new clients in the North America Merchant Services realm.
Maintain accurate client records in Atlas and Salesforce, including call notes, scheduled interactions, and contact information.
Conduct weekly branch visits, monthly training sessions, bank meetings, and huddles with assigned FI partner.
Achieve minimum production requirements, setting first‑time appointments to secure quota.
Continue to build product knowledge and stay current on industry trends and technology.
Attend weekly team meetings, one‑on‑one sessions, and semi‑monthly field rides with District Manager.
Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
18 years of age or older.
Valid driver’s license (regular driving required).
Background check conducted after conditional offer.
Completion of mandatory drug screening near the 60th day of employment.
Live in area relative to job posting location.
Ability to be in the field at least 75% of the time.
4 years of sales experience.
Preferred Qualifications
High school diploma/GED.
At least two years of relevant experience.
