Overview Hackensack Meridian Health (HMH) is a leading health system committed to providing high quality, compassionate care. The Practice Manager will oversee daily outpatient practice operations, manage administrative and clinical staff, and collaborate with the Operations Management and Administrative Director to ensure the office runs efficiently.

Responsibilities

Manage daily operations of the practice.

Supervise all staff, including time and attendance, coaching, evaluation, and discipline.

Oversee the revenue cycle, WQ management, manual charge entry for outside practices, open encounter reconciliation, and financial reporting.

Monitor patient satisfaction through surveys and feedback, and work with staff and physicians to continuously improve patient access and workflows.

Administer recurring or daily functions necessary for business execution and identify opportunities for improvement or efficiencies.

Develop, lead, and implement agenda for staff meetings to achieve critical departmental goals and objectives efficiently.

Formulate, review, and revise departmental policies and procedures that safeguard patient care and promote efficient and creative practice.

Identify the needs of the patient population served and modify and deliver care specific to those needs (age, culture, language, hearing, and/or visually impaired). Communicate with the patient, parent, and/or primary caregiver at their level of development, education, literacy, etc.

Work with outside departments and vendors to develop educational programs through corporate events, fundraising events, etc.

Oversight of professional and hospital prior authorizations for procedures and any cardiac testing.

Ensure patient consultations, follow up documentation and procedural reports are sent to referring physicians.

Coordinate special projects as instructed.

Lift a minimum of 10 lbs., push and pull a minimum of 50 lbs. and stand a minimum of 4 hours a day.

Other duties and/or projects as assigned.

Adhere to HMH Organizational competencies and standards of behavior.

Qualifications

Associate's Degree or equivalent work experience.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in practice coordination in the hospital or private practice setting.

2 years of supervisory experience.

Ability to foster teamwork with decision‑making skills.

Proficient at oral and written communication skills.

Problem‑solving and situational analysis skills.

Conceptual thinking skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree preferred.

Management experience preferred in a hospital or private practice setting.

Compensation Starting at $72,072.00 Annually. HMH is committed to pay equity and transparency for our team members. The posted rate of pay is a reasonable good faith estimate of the minimum base pay for this role at the time of posting in accordance with the New Jersey Pay Transparency Act and does not reflect the full value of our market‑competitive total rewards package.

Job Duties Posted hourly rates may be stated as an annual salary in the offer and posted annual salaries may be stated as an hourly rate in the offer, depending on the level and nature of the job duties and credentials of the candidate. The base compensation determined at the time of the offer may be different than the posted rate of pay based on a number of non‑discriminatory factors, including but not limited to labor market data, experience, education and certifications, skills, geographic location, internal equity, budget and grant funding.
