About the Role
Egis is seeking an experienced
Civil Design Lead
to join our Urban Development team in
Norwest . This is a leadership role where you’ll take ownership of design delivery, lead a multidisciplinary team, and play a key role in driving quality, efficiency and sustainable business growth.
You will be responsible for leading a team of designers and drafters, providing technical direction, mentoring and performance management, while ensuring design outputs meet client expectations and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the design and drafting activities of the design office, including work priorities and project responsibilities
Lead workload planning to ensure efficient delivery against project programs and deadlines
Provide day‑to‑day leadership, coaching and technical guidance to support individual and team development
Maintain and enhance quality assurance processes, identifying non‑conformances and implementing preventative actions
Review and contribute to complex civil infrastructure designs and proposals
Ensure appropriate standards, specifications and design tools are consistently applied
What do we need from you
Degree in Civil Engineering
CPEng and NER
Proven experience managing and leading design teams.
Design Practitioner licence ideal.
Traffic Control licence ideal.
Solid understanding of land development, greenfield, brownfield projects.
Strong experience using 12D and DRAINS.
Project Management skills.
Advanced and specialised problem solving and analytical skills.
