Key Responsibilities

The Pipefitting Data Entry role supports the HVAC piping and construction teams by accurately entering and managing material and labor data. This position is essential for maintaining efficient operations, ensuring timely procurement, and supporting project tracking and reporting. The individual will collaborate closely with the VDC/BIM department, superintendents, and manufacturing teams to confirm that all required materials and labor information are processed correctly.

Enter information from Bills of Material (BOM), invoices, and order forms into requisition and purchase order systems.

Scan and upload packing slips, invoices, and other documentation into the company’s operating system.

File and organize digital and physical records for easy retrieval and compliance.

Follow up on back orders and coordinate with vendors to resolve material shortages or delays.

Schedule deliveries and communicate with field teams to ensure timely receipt of materials.

Support the BIM/VDC group with data acquisition and entry for requisitions and other project‑related tasks.

Assist with miscellaneous administrative and operational tasks as assigned.

Participate in training sessions to stay current on company systems, safety protocols, and best practices.

Foster a culture of quality, integrity, safety, and teamwork within the department.

Qualifications

One (1) year of experience in construction or a related field is preferred.

Knowledge of piping materials and HVAC systems is preferred.

Proficiency in computer programs such as Internet Explorer, Bluebeam, Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), Outlook, and Excel.

Strong communication and organizational skills.

Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly.

Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and recordkeeping highly preferred.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team highly preferred.

Willingness to take initiative and contribute to process improvements desired.

Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and integrity in handling sensitive information desired.

This position requires the ability to lift and carry materials weighing up to 25 pounds on a frequent basis. The employee must be able to perform tasks involving physical labor, including lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying materials, tools, or equipment. Manual material handling must be performed in accordance with OSHA safety standards and company policies to minimize risk of injury.
