Maintenance Manager - Valero Terminal

The Kinder Morgan Terminals Gulf Central Region is responsible for handling over 10 million tons of petroleum coke through several terminals located on the Texas Gulf Coast. In addition to petroleum coke, it also unloads aggregates from ocean going vessels and loads soda ash and potash to export vessels.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The Maintenance Manager reports to the Terminal Manager and is responsible for all Kinder Morgan terminal bulk operations maintenance within the Valero Port Arthur Refinery. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to; performance management of the maintenance team, safety, quality control, budgeting, regulatory compliance, and all maintenance and repairs on all assets within the facility. The Maintenance Manager is responsible for maintaining and repairs assets which include, but not limited to: heavy equipment (cranes, dozers, excavators, etc), conveyors, ship loader, compressor systems and electrical and mechanical repairs.
As the Maintenance Manager your responsibilities include all aspects of maintenance and repairs at the Valero Terminal. The responsibilities noted below give a general idea of the Maintenance Manager duties but are not limited to the following;
Oversee all maintenance programs and activities to ensure safe and efficient operation of assets and equipment, including preventive and corrective maintenance using Maximo.
Lead and manage the Terminal Maintenance team: hiring, training, performance management, and maintaining appropriate staffing levels.
Plan, prioritize, and coordinate maintenance projects and schedules, ensuring timely completion within budget and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Manage contractor relationships: develop scopes of work, solicit bids, and supervise contractors to protect company interests and meet project goals.
Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, EHS, and Finance to resolve scheduling issues, optimize workflows, and maintain alignment with corporate objectives.
Monitor and control budgets, expenditures, and inventory; prepare cost reports and ensure adherence to procurement policies.
Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety standards, and enforce company rules and procedures for safe operations.
Drive continuous improvement in maintenance processes, equipment performance, and operational efficiency.
