The Michigan Department of Treasury is seeking a Continuous Improvement Analyst to support strategic initiatives, enhance employee engagement, and lead process improvement efforts across the department.
Key Responsibilities
Process Improvement Facilitation:
Lead and support continuous improvement efforts to streamline operations and enhance service delivery.
Metrics & Data Analysis:
Develop, track, and analyze metrics to identify trends, measure impact, and support data‑driven decision‑making.
Employee Engagement:
Collaborate with teams to interpret employee engagement survey results and implement strategies that foster a positive, inclusive, and high‑performing workplace culture.
Strategic Planning Support:
Assist in the development and execution of strategic plans, ensuring alignment with departmental goals and priorities.
Training & Coaching:
Provide guidance and training on continuous improvement tools, techniques, and best practices to build internal capacity.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration:
Partner with teams across Treasury to identify opportunities for improvement and support implementation efforts.

Experience facilitating process improvement initiatives using a proven methodology.
Strong analytical skills with experience developing and interpreting metrics.
Familiarity with employee engagement strategies and tools (e.g., survey analysis, action planning).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and influence across teams.
Commitment to inclusion, diversity, and fostering a collaborative team.
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in any major.
Professional experience: 0–3+ years (position level dependent); military service may substitute for education.
Additional Information Work must be performed in the state of Michigan. If you currently reside outside of Michigan, you must relocate prior to being appointed to the position. Relocation expenses are not reimbursed.
Hybrid Remote Work: This position is eligible to work remotely on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays, and must work onsite Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Selected candidate must have a safe and appropriate designated workspace or workstation and sufficient internet access of commercial cable or wireless broadband with minimum speeds of 25 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload.
E‑Verify: The Michigan Department of Treasury participates in E‑Verify and will provide the federal government with your form I‑9 information to confirm that you are authorized to work in the U.S.
Interviews may occur virtually using Microsoft Teams. No prior experience with Teams is necessary, as instructions and tips will be provided to all candidates scheduled for an interview.
