OUR PERKS Our team enjoys work because:
Employee discounts on aftermarket parts and accessories for your own Toyota builds
Team outings and experiences that build real camaraderie, not just “company events”
Strong benefits package including medical, dental, vision, IRA investment options, and paid time off
Competitive compensation based on skill, ownership, and performance
A clear growth path and development roadmap as we scale the business and expand the product lineup
A high-growth, fast-paced environment where you’ll work alongside a team that shares the same core values and takes pride in building something meaningful together
YOUR ROLE Location: Onsite or Remote or Freelance Type: Full or Part Time Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday Compensation: TBD Type: Hourly or Salary (Overtime Exempt)
Design and engineer Toyota aftermarket products from concept to production-ready CAD by delivering high-quality, manufacturable designs and fast revisions that move quickly through prototyping, testing, and overseas production.
This position could in-house, done remotely or you can be setup as a 1099 subcontractor. We're open for either route but looking for the right person to speed up our new product development process.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES Product Design / Development: You will own the product design and development process by turning product concepts into complete, engineered CAD models and assemblies.
Create 3D CAD models for Toyota aftermarket components (bumpers, brackets, racks, accessories, etc.)
Ensure proper fitment, clearances, mounting strategy, and mechanical integrity
Design with serviceability, installation simplicity, and end-user experience in mind
Ensure products reach “launch-ready” status with zero loose ends
Drawings and Manufacturing Documentation: You will own delivering clean, factory-ready documentation with tolerances and details that manufacturers can execute confidently.
Produce drawing packs for sheet metal, injection molding and cnc machined parts with GD&T
Specify materials, finishes, fasteners, and hardware callouts
Ensure outputs meet overseas factory expectations and reduce back-and-forth
DFM and Cost-Aware Engineering Decisions: You will own the process of engineering products that are manufacturable at scale, meet target cost, and quality.
Design for manufacturability based on real fabrication capabilities (bending, welding, CNC, etc.)
Reduce part count and simplify assemblies where possible
Balance strength, weight, and cost without compromising product performance
Proactively flag design decisions that will drive cost, complexity, or QC risk
Rapid Iteration and Revisions: You will own the process of design iterations and revisions to keep projects moving.
Implement design revisions based on fitment testing, factory feedback, and real-world issues
Turn revisions quickly and accurately to support high launch velocity
Maintain a clear revision log and communicate what changed and why
Support multiple products in parallel with organized file management
Technical Communication and Collaboration: You will communicate clearly with the Proprietary Product Manager, suppliers and other contractors to execute efficiently.
Participate in project handoffs, brief review, and design reviews
Ask clarifying questions early to prevent downstream redesign
Collaborate effectively across time zones and supplier constraints
Provide clear explanations for design tradeoffs, changes, and recommended solutions
YOUR CREDENTIALS Must Have Skills:
3+ years experience designing mechanical products, components, or assemblies for manufacturability deadlines, dependencies, and cross-functional coordination
Strong proficiency in Fusion 360 or SolidWorks (must be comfortable with assemblies, drawings, and revision workflows)
Experience producing production-ready drawings and manufacturing files (STEP, DXF, PDFs, BOMs)
Strong understanding of fabrication processes such as sheet metal, CNC machining, welding, and hardware integration
Ability to design around tight fitment constraints and real-world installation considerations
Strong communication skills and responsiveness in a fast-paced development cycle
Comfortable working with overseas factories or manufacturers, including designing to their capabilities
Strongly Preferred:
Experience designing automotive aftermarket products or accessories
Familiarity with Toyota truck and SUV platforms
Experience designing and engineering sheet metal, injection molded or cnc machined products
Experience supporting high-velocity product pipelines with rapid revision loops
IS THIS YOU? You are a practical, production-minded engineer who enjoys designing real products that get built, installed, and used. You care about strong design fundamentals, clean geometry, and manufacturable outputs, and you take pride in delivering professional CAD and drawing packs that factories can execute without confusion. You move fast but do not cut corners. You communicate clearly, ask smart questions early, and turn revisions quickly when feedback comes in.
You also enjoy collaborating with teams who are building at a high tempo and do not want slow, theoretical design cycles. You are comfortable designing for real-world constraints, including off-road abuse, installation simplicity, and fitment variability across Toyota trims. If you like working on tangible products with a clear customer use case and rapid launch cadence, you will thrive here.
IF THIS IS YOU, APPLY NOW! Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: From $70,000.00 per year
Expected hours: 10.0 – 30.0 per week
Work Location: Hybrid remote in Alburtis, PA 18011
