Job Description
ECS is seeking a technical SETA/Supply Chain specialist to provide support to the Open Price Exploration for National security (OPEN) program with DARPA's STO Technology Office. Supply chain disruptions impose enormous economic costs on businesses and consumers while threatening DOD readiness. By developing technology to illuminate critical materials markets, OPEN seeks to enable better-informed decision-making, strengthen supply chain resilience, and protect U.S. national security interests. The successful candidate will provide expertise in industrial organization, commodity markets, and/or supply chain economics to provide strategic analysis and technical guidance. The ideal candidate will bridge economic theory, market analysis, and technical innovation to advance transparency in critical materials markets.

Position Status:
This position is contingent upon additional funding.
Required Skills
Experience in economic analysis, with demonstrated expertise in commodity markets, supply chains, or industrial economics
Strong understanding of market microstructure, price formation mechanisms, and supply-demand dynamics
Experience conducting quantitative analysis and working with economic models
Excellent communication skills with ability to translate complex economic concepts for technical and policy audiences
Knowledge of the critical materials market and supply chain vulnerabilities
Ability to interpret complex data
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Active TS Department of Defense Clearance
Desired Skills
Experience with supporting DoD or working in relevant USG environment
Possession of excellent analytical and quantitative skills
Master's degree in Economics, Finance, or a related field preferred; Doctorate degree in Economics, Finance, or a related field a plus
TS/SCI clearance is a plus.
