Position Title: Associate Director of Gift Planning (ADGP)
Position Summary The Associate Director of Gift Planning (ADGP) position is a Territorial recognized Gift Planning position and part of the Gift Planning program along with the Director of Gift Planning (DGP) and Senior Director of Gift Planning/Mentor (SDGP/M) positions. The primary purpose is to provide division‑wide support for Directors of Gift Planning (DGP) to achieve their annual Gift Activity goals. From the Boise ID / Treasure Valley Area, ADGPs will support by identifying, cultivating, soliciting, securing, and stewarding individual donors and targeting deferred gifts. ADGPs will actively participate in the implementation of each DGP’s Forecast and Marketing Plans (FMP).

A Bachelor's degree in marketing, sales, finance, or related field. Preference for advanced degree or certification such as CFP, MBA, JD, CPA, CSPG or CAP.

Possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to maintain accurate records.
Self‑motivated, articulate, people & goal oriented, can work in a fast‑paced environment, maintaining poise under pressure, team‑or‑independent as needed.
Presents professional manner.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and sensitivity in relation to information and documentation.
Proficient in MS Office, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and ability to learn CRM and application software.
Ability to travel for training, conferences, and donor face‑to‑face visits.
Responsibilities
Support all DGPs within division in identifying, cultivating, finalizing, and stewarding gift plan commitments. No gift production goals, but support with management, marketing, metrics, and training.
Assist with all gift planning activities within assigned coverage area.
Assist in building relationships with all appropriate Corps Officers and staff.
Work with donors to establish life‑income plans such as Charitable Gift Annuities, Charitable Remainder Trusts, and Bequest commitments.
Maintain annual stewardship for all living bequest donors.
Maintain accurate donor records and support DGP records.
Visit donors, advisors, and Corps on limited basis as directed.
Maintain and build relationships with professionals such as CPAs, CFPs, attorneys.
Collaborate with Corps Officers, Donor Relations Directors (Major Gifts) and Development staff to provide donors with exceptional service and collaborate on site/donor visits.
Coordinate at least two gift‑planning proposals per week.
Make at least ten substantive phone calls per week.
Make at least twenty written communications per week (thank‑you cards, birthday cards, etc.).
Participate in seminars as requested.
Report all communication activities in CRM and report all gift production in Gift Report module.
Complete and update a multi‑channel Forecast and Marketing Plan annually and implement throughout the year.
Assist in implementation of all DGP Forecast and Marketing Plans.
Work with Divisional and Territorial staff and vendors to ensure marketing activities operate as planned.
Participate in all DGP trainings (monthly call, annual 12‑week session, annual technical training conference, territorial and mentor scheduled trainings).
Work within established framework, policies and organization of division and territory; adhere to gift acceptance policies; refrain from signing legal commitments; avoid personal gain; accept no gratuities, etc.
Physical Requirements Qualified individuals must be able to perform essential duties with or without accommodation. Requests for reasonable accommodations will be considered.
