Network Engineer, Senior A well‑designed network is critical to move data and enable organizations to achieve their missions.
As a Network Engineer, you will design, deploy, and maintain DoD network solutions that meet evolving business and security requirements.
You will troubleshoot and resolve network issues, and increase security, reliability, and availability of mission‑critical network systems.
Key responsibilities include:
Apply routing, switching, encryption gear, and network design/architecture skills to support the nation’s defense.
Perform IP engineering, traffic management, and optimization for both LAN/WAN interfaces and voice/video applications.
Integrate and maintain firewalls, monitoring tools, and other security technologies.
Advisory on secure data transfer to multiple remote locations.
Collaborate with vendors, carriers, and technical staff on implementation, optimization, and deployment.
Provide expertise on industry standards and emerging technologies to aid DoD modernization.
Support incident response and provide technical guidance on national security missions.
You Have
12+ years of experience with networking hardware and software
3+ years of experience operating U.S. Department of Defense Networks
Experience with LAN or WAN interfacing, security, internet protocols, and TCP/IP
Experience with engineering data, voice, and video networks
Experience with network monitoring tools
TS/SCI clearance
High school diploma or GED
DoD IAT Level II Certification and Cisco Certified Networking Associate (CCNA) Certification
Nice If You Have
Experience maintaining secure data transfer to multiple locations via internal and external networks
Experience working with vendors, the Government, carriers, and technical staff on network implementation, optimization, and ongoing management
Bachelor's degree
Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) Certification
Certified Cyber Intelligence Professional (CCIP) or Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Certification
Clearance Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.
Compensation Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors and the projected compensation range for this position is $77,500.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). That figure is part of Booz Allen’s total compensation package.
