This is a full-time, on-site role based in Detroit, MI for a Senior Accountant. The Senior Accountant will manage financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance to ensure accurate and timely financial records. Responsibilities include preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, reconciling accounts, overseeing payroll, monitoring cash flow, and ensuring compliance with federal funding regulations. Collaboration with internal departments to streamline financial processes and support decision-making will also be a key aspect of this position. Qualifications
Proficiency in financial reporting, budgeting, and financial analysis Strong knowledge of accounting principles and standards, including proficiency in GAAP and compliance Skills in using accounting software, data analysis tools, Microsoft Excel and finance management tools such as Net Suite Experience managing grants and reporting to leadership on their status (grant writing experience a major plus) Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical abilities Ability to manage multiple deadlines and adapt to a fast-paced environment Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or equivalent certification preferred) Experience in healthcare or nonprofit accounting is a must Strong written and verbal communication skills
