Assistant Project Manager – Vertical Construction Miami-Ft. Lauderdale Area | $100,000 – $120,000 + Full Benefits & Growth Path

About the Opportunity: We’ve partnered with a well‑established general contracting firm recognized for delivering complex, design‑driven commercial and residential projects throughout the region. The company is expanding its footprint in large‑scale vertical construction and is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join a dynamic team supporting exciting new developments.

If you’ve contributed to 15+ story ground‑up projects or other large mixed‑use builds, this is an excellent opportunity to advance your career, work alongside experienced project leaders, and gain exposure to every stage of the construction process—from preconstruction through closeout.

What You’ll Do

Assist senior project managers in planning, coordination, and execution of ground‑up and vertical construction projects.

Support daily project management activities including RFIs, submittals, schedules, meeting minutes, and reports.

Collaborate with field teams, subcontractors, and design professionals to ensure accurate sequencing and alignment across trades.

Participate in job walks, quality control inspections, and progress meetings.

Help with project buyout, procurement, and cost tracking.

Review drawings and specifications to identify conflicts or opportunities for improvement.

Maintain proactive communication and organization across multiple project stakeholders.

What You’ll Bring

3+ years of experience in ground‑up commercial or residential construction.

Exposure to multi‑story (15+ story) projects strongly preferred.

Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, or Microsoft Project is a plus.

Solid understanding of construction drawings, scheduling, and coordination processes.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Excellent communication, documentation, and problem‑solving abilities.

Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred (not required).

Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
