Role Overview Mid‑Senior level, Full‑time. We are looking for an experienced Implementation Manager to serve as the liaison and dedicated resource to Plan Sponsors and Financial Advisors as they onboard to Vestwell’s platform. In this role, you will manage projects, collaborate cross‑functionally with internal stakeholders to enhance onboarding experiences, and provide subject‑matter expertise on plan design and training.
Qualifications
4–7 years of experience in project management and leading team initiatives end‑to‑end; you are flexible, creative, team‑oriented, results‑driven, and can collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
Professional experience using and optimizing internal technical operational tools (e.g., Jira, Zendesk, Asana, Google Workspace) and helping others develop and employ best practices—bonus points for deployment/build experience.
Demonstrated aptitude for learning, creating, and iterating rapidly.
Willingness to learn retirement plan design and plan conversion processes from point of sales to release of conversion data.
General knowledge of ERISA rules and experience with one or more compliance/recordkeeping systems (e.g., SunGard Relius, ASC, FIS) – preferred.
Qualified 401(k) Administrator (QKA) or higher ASPPA credential – preferred.
PMP or similar project management certifications – preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Act as primary internal client advocate representing plan sponsors and advisor contacts.
Manage all aspects of the onboarding process from point of sale through successful transition of new plans to our platform.
Coordinate with financial advisors, plan sponsors, prior recordkeepers, and/or third‑party administrators to determine conversion timelines, key action items, and delivery dates, and communicate overall project status to external and internal stakeholders.
Collaborate cross‑functionally to provide support where needed and ensure the team can deliver against expected service level agreements.
Location and Compensation This role will be based in Vestwell’s New York, Austin, King of Prussia, or Phoenix office and will have a hybrid schedule. The expected base salary range is $80 K – $90 K, plus performance‑based bonus. The position is eligible to participate in the Company Bonus Pool and may receive new‑hire equity.
