Role Description This is an on‑site, full‑time role based in Austin, TX, for a Freight Broker. The Freight Broker will manage client relationships, coordinate shipments, and connect with carriers to facilitate logistics operations.
Responsibilities
Negotiate rates with carriers.
Handle customer inquiries and provide excellent service.
Dispatch loads and coordinate shipment operations.
Ensure accurate documentation for transport processes.
Maintain account management and build client relationships.
Qualifications
Strong expertise in Freight Brokerage and brokerage practices.
Proficiency in Customer Service to ensure client satisfaction and resolve inquiries effectively.
Skills in Account Management with an ability to build and maintain client relationships.
Effective communication, negotiation, and problem‑solving abilities.
Familiarity with transportation laws and regulations is an advantage.
Proficiency with logistics software and technology tools.
High school diploma or equivalent is required; a bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field is preferred.
Previous experience in the logistics or freight brokerage industry is preferred.
