The Director will lead the strategy, design, and operational management of the enterprise data platform and integration ecosystem.

Salary range: $164,624-214,011 plus 20% bonus

Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to

Define and execute the roadmap for data operations and platform capabilities, ensuring scalability, security, and compliance

Establish and enforce data governance standards, lineage, and cataloging using tools like Purview or Unity Catalog

Oversee ingestion, transformation, and consumption layers leveraging Azure Data Factory, Databricks notebooks, and dbt models

Implement medallion architecture (bronze, silver, gold) for structured data delivery and analytics enablement

Drive integration strategy using MuleSoft for application-to-application and real-time data synchronization

Ensure reliability, performance, and cost optimization of data pipelines

Implement CI/CD and DevOps practices for automated deployment and testing

Monitor platform health and enforce service level agreements for data availability and quality

Partner with analytics engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions

Mentor technical teams on best practices in ELT, modular dbt development, and cloud‑native architecture

Required Skills and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field

8+ years in data engineering/operations, with at least 3 years in a leadership role

Proven experience with enterprise data platforms such as Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse, Azure AI/ML, Azure Databricks, and ELT tools such as dbt

Strong understanding of MuleSoft for API governance and application integration

Expertise in healthcare data modeling techniques (star/snowflake, data vault, lakehouse) and orchestration frameworks

Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, version control (Azure DevOps), and automated testing

Hands‑on experience with data governance tools and frameworks

Knowledge of compliance standards (HIPAA, PCI, GDPR) Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills

Demonstrated ability to mentor across the organization

Ability to translate complex technical concepts and constraints into enterprise solutions and business value, and vice versa

Strong collaborative development experience with ability to troubleshoot complex issues and mentor others on basic git skills and best practices

Agile delivery experience

Preferred Skills and Experience

Master’s degree

Advanced certifications in Azure or Databricks.

Experience implementing Unity Catalog, Fabric, or similar emerging technologies

Background in healthcare, manufacturing and logistics

Familiarity with AI/ML integration into data platforms and application workflows

Experience with cost optimization and FinOps for cloud environments

Physical Requirements
