Under the direction of the Fire Captain, protect life and property through fire suppression, fire prevention and emergency medical aid in response to fire alarms, medical calls and other emergency situations on the Morongo reservation and enterprises. Maintain firefighting equipment in proper working condition. Participate in extensive training activities to enhance firefighting abilities. Provide further assistance in related duties as required. High School Diploma or GED supplemented by graduation from a State Certified Fire Academy or CFSM FF1 required. Valid California Class C driver’s license and insurable on company policy. Valid California Firefighter I Certification. CSFM Fire Academy or CFSM FF1 Valid Hazardous Materials First Responder Operational (FRO) Certificate or able to obtain within 180 days of employment. Valid California Ambulance Driver’s License (from DMV) or able to obtain within 180 days of employment. Valid Medical Examiner’s Card (from DMV) or able to obtain within 30 days of employment. AHA BLS CPR or RHEART equivalent. Valid Emergency Medical Technician B Certification (EMT-B) Incumbents must obtain a California Class A, B, or C driver’s license Firefighter Endorsement within 12 months of employment.
