Position Overview
Join the Wang Lab at the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering, UC Irvine, as a Postdoctoral Scholar to develop and investigate biomaterials for vaccine delivery to improve immune responses toward infectious viruses.
Salary Information Expected salary range: $69,073-74,281 (Postdoc Level 0–2). Salary scales are determined by rank and step at appointment.

Position Description (Responsibilities)
Develop and investigate biomaterials for vaccine delivery.
Conduct interdisciplinary research in collaboration with the Samueli School of Engineering and the Adeline Yen Mah Vaccine Center.
Design, synthesize, and characterize nanomaterials and polymer formulations.
Perform in vitro and in vivo immunological assays, including antibody, B‑cell, and T‑cell response analysis after immunization.
Qualifications
Ph.D. in chemical engineering, materials science, biomedical engineering, immunology, or a related field.
Experience in recombinant protein expression and purification.
Experience in nanomaterials synthesis and characterization.
Experience in polymer formulation and characterization.
Experience with in vitro and in vivo immunological approaches.
Excellent organization, communication, and teamwork skills.
