St. Louis, MO – requires in‑office 1 day per week (hybrid model)
Schedule:
8‑hour shift, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (EST), Monday to Friday. Additional hours may be necessary based on company needs.
About the Role The Authorization Representative I is responsible for completing and submitting the appropriate forms for patients whose health plan requires drug re‑authorizations for different therapy types.
Responsibilities
Enter re‑authorizations into the portal and ensure accurate completion of re‑authorization forms.
Submit completed re‑authorization forms to the appropriate insurance plans.
Maintain a log of all re‑authorizations submitted.
Follow up with the patient's insurance company or physician office by phone, email, or spreadsheets on all submitted re‑authorization for patient approval or denial status.
Minimum Requirements
High school diploma or GED and a minimum of 1 year of experience processing pharmacy prior authorizations, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experiences
Specialty pharmacy experience highly preferred.
