Responsibilities
Obtain necessary training as required to operate moving equipment safely and efficiently such as tugs, forklifts, transporters, cranes, and scissor lifts.
Determine daily package move requirements by using the package move schedule and daily assignments.
Perform all assigned duties necessary to maintain the moving equipment along with wheel dollies and fixators.
Maintain transporters status of the equipment at any time and provide lead person with up-to-date information for any found discrepancies.
Inspect wheel dollies for safe operating condition before using; if repairs are required, take them back for repair to Hawthorne and tag out of service.
Operate 44‑ton pneumatic floor jacks as necessary to install or remove fixators or wheel dollies on packages.
Plan and execute with all the value streams, industrial coating, and shipping daily for package moves and requests.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
A valid agency‑issued driver’s license with an acceptable driving record (no moving violations in the last 12 months, no 2‑point violations in the last 3 years, no DUIs in the last 7 years).
Working computer knowledge.
Must be able to frequently lift and carry boxes weighing up to 10–25 pounds.
Must be able to work at heights of up to 20 feet from the floor.
Strong attention to detail.
Capable of operating a two‑axle truck.
Availability to work any shift.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience operating moving equipment.
