Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High School diploma or equivalent.
Valid Florida teaching certificate or valid Department of Education athletic coaching certificate.
Valid FHSAA certification.
Valid Adult and Child First Aid/CPR/AED certificate issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
Valid Florida Drivers License.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Coaching experience at the high school level.
Experience mentoring youth and fostering a positive team culture.
Familiarity with academic eligibility requirements for student-athletes.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Knowledge of the sports rules techniques and safety practices.
Strong communication organization and leadership skills.
Ability to collaborate with school staff parents and community partners.
Ability to work evenings weekends and during school breaks as needed.

Responsibilities ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Typical duties include but are not limited to:
Assist with planning organizing and conducting regular practice sessions.
Develop and implement game strategies and tactics.
Teach fundamental skills techniques and sports rules to student-athletes.
Supervise student-athletes during practices games and school-sponsored trips.
Promote discipline responsibility and good sportsmanship among players.
Ensure compliance with school district and state athletic regulations.
Assist with maintenance of team equipment and uniforms.
Assist with scheduling and facility use.
Maintain open communication with parents and guardians.
Provide mentorship and guidance to student-athletes on personal development and college opportunities.
Enforce all school policies and codes of conduct.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
