What You’ll Do
Lead and develop the enterprise applications team supporting systems such as Viewpoint Vista, HCSS, Trimble, and Autodesk Construction Cloud
Own application lifecycle management including configuration, support, enhancements, updates, and performance monitoring
Serve as a trusted IT partner to business leaders across E‑Infrastructure and Transportation segments
Translate business challenges into scalable technology solutions that improve operational efficiency
Facilitate prioritization of initiatives aligned to business needs and Sterling’s technology roadmap
Collaborate closely with vendors—staying ahead of roadmaps, advocating for Sterling’s needs, and leveraging industry best practices
Lead complex troubleshooting and resolution efforts alongside vendors and internal IT teams
Oversee application upgrades, patches, integrations, and new implementations with minimal disruption
Maintain strong documentation, standards, and support processes
Experience, Education & What You Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
8+ years of IT experience, with a focus on enterprise applications, business relationship management, or application support
5+ years of experience driving business process improvement or digital transformation initiatives
Experience supporting construction industry applications such as Trimble, Viewpoint Vista, HCSS, Autodesk Construction Cloud, or similar platforms (strongly preferred)
Proven success building strategic partnerships between IT and business teams
Strong project management skills with the ability to coordinate complex, cross‑functional initiatives
Clear, confident communicator with strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
Skilled at removing barriers, acting with urgency, and driving results in fast‑paced environments
Working knowledge of SDLC methodologies, ITIL, Lean, SOX, and IT governance practices
Ability to manage multiple priorities while working effectively across departments
