Are you a skilled Diesel Mechanic with a passion for diagnosing and repairing diesel engines? Our team in Grants Pass, OR, is looking to hire an experienced Lead Diesel Mechanic to keep our fleet of heavy-duty trucks running at peak performance.
Key Responsibilities
Routine Maintenance & Repairs:
Perform oil changes, filter replacements, and comprehensive system diagnostics on diesel engines.
Troubleshooting & Diagnostics:
Use advanced diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and resolve mechanical issues.
Component Repair & Replacement:
Repair or replace faulty components—including fuel systems, brakes, and electrical systems—to ensure optimal performance.
Inspections & Testing:
Conduct thorough inspections and performance tests on vehicles and equipment to verify they are in proper working order.
Record Keeping:
Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work.
Safety Compliance:
Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to create a secure work environment.
Qualifications
Experience:
3 - 5 years as a diesel mechanic, with proven expertise in diesel engine systems and components.
Diagnostic Proficiency:
Demonstrated ability to use diagnostic tools and equipment.
Problem‑Solving & Detail Orientation:
Strong analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail.
Team & Independent Work:
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Communication:
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Competitive wages paying between $20 - $33 per hour, based on experience and certification.
