Position Summary
Responsible for the manufacturing of fixtures, signage, displays and other products that FCI designs and produces. Finished work is completed on time and meets FCI safety and quality standards. Assists with packing and shipping of product. Position Duties
Essential Job Functions Building/assembling (85%): Follows guidelines to build/assemble various fixtures, including menu boards, small builds and some countertop and hanging units. Cuts, fastens, and sands materials. Pulls items to complete merchandise display. Helps care for, maintain and repair tools and machinery. Responsible for maintaining own work space and following basic warehouse housekeeping guidelines. Packing and Shipping (15%): Follows proper packing and shipping instructions and policies. Understands documentation requirements and follows appropriate routing and filing of all paperwork, such as packing slips. Responsible for packing and shipping product with correct equipment and paperwork to ensure satisfactory delivery to customer. Assists shipping and receiving as required. Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Experience: One or more years of basic assembly experience. Basic knowledge of operation of hand tools and manufacturing equipment. Basic understanding of quality and safety controls of equipment, production and services. Can follow emergency first aid procedures and has a working knowledge of the MSD Compliance Safety rules. Computer/Software and Office Equipment Skills: No specific skills identified. Personal Attributes Required: Ability to work independently and in a team. Strong organizational skills. Attention to detail. Can read and follow CAD drawings and written procedures/instructions. Essential Physical/Mental Requirements
Work requires frequent bending, lifting, reaching. Fine manual dexterity is needed to assemble parts and components. Work is performed in an environment with noise, fumes and periodic exposure to potentially harmful chemicals. Need to occasionally move and handle loads of up to 50 lbs. Specific Accountabilities
A1: Building/assembling fixtures with a basic knowledge of use on the table, band, skill, jig and chop saws; screw gun; forklift; drill press; router; hand and table riveting; ruler; stapler gun and tape machine. Includes menu boards, small builds and some countertop and hanging units. A2: Basic understanding of quality and safety controls of equipment, production and services. A3: Proper knowledge, routing and filing of all paperwork, such as packing slips. A4: Proper packaging and shipping of FCI products. A5: Care, maintenance and repair of tools and machinery, and warehouse housekeeping. B1: Assistance with shipping and receiving as needed. B2: Working knowledge of first aid kit use for emergency procedures and knowledge the MSD Compliance Safety rules. B3: Basic product knowledge of standard catalog items. B4: Assist other employees to complete projects as needed, especially with large rollouts.
