Senior Database Architect
to lead the design and execution of enterprise‑level data governance and architecture strategies for a mission‑critical environment out of
Washington, DC . The
Senior Database Architect
will be responsible for shaping how data is governed, classified, shared, and trusted across the organization. Must have an ACTIVE DHS clearance. Hybrid work.
Responsibilities of the Senior Database Architect
Lead enterprise data governance using Collibra to ensure trusted, compliant, and discoverable data
Define and manage metadata, lineage, and master data standards to improve consistency and accountability
Establish data architecture and access controls aligned with security policies and federal/privacy regulations
Integrate Collibra with cloud, on‑prem, and hybrid data platforms, guiding governance‑aligned pipelines
Drive automation and AI‑enabled governance, streamlining metadata ingestion, quality monitoring, and workflows
Qualifications of the Senior Database Architect
10+ years leading enterprise data governance and data architecture initiatives
Hands‑on Collibra expertise (cataloging, lineage, stewardship, policies)
Strong knowledge of metadata, lineage, and master data management (MDM)
Experience integrating governance with cloud data platforms and lakehouse architectures
Solid foundation in data modeling, integration, and enterprise architecture
Cloud experience with AWS, Azure or GCP
Familiarity with containers and infrastructure‑as‑code (Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform)
Experience modernizing legacy governance into cloud‑scale frameworks
Must have an active DHS Clearance
Bachelor’s degree in related field
Compensation of the Senior Database Architect
Salary: Between $140,000 - $160,000 annually based on years of experience
