SAP S/4HANA EWM Consultant
Description
Job Description: The SAP S/4HANA EWM Consultant will work closely to ensure that the project(s) are delivered on‑time, on‑budget, and to the Client’s satisfaction. The consultant is responsible for leading the design and implementation of an EWM solution—including blueprints, functional and technical specifications, system configuration, testing, training and go‑live support—and must be a subject matter expert for both processes and SAP technology. Focused customers maximize operational efficiencies and distribution velocity by leveraging SAP S/4HANA supply chain execution applications (Warehouse Management, Extended Warehouse Management, SAP Console and ITSMobile). The consultant is responsible for the functional aspects of the analysis and design process and its associated documentation (functional specification, test plans, etc.), guides and troubleshoots during implementation, defines and competes required tasks with little or no assistance, exhibits judgment in when to seek assistance, serves as a lead resource for the team, sets and follows standards, facilitates involvement of other groups to solve problems, keeps the Project Manager informed, suggests tools and processes, and reviews team deliverables for adherence to standards and quality. The SAP S/4HANA EWM Consultant will work closely to ensure that project(s) are delivered on‑time, on‑budget, and to client satisfaction. Lead design and implementation of EWM solution, delivering project deliverables including blueprints, functional and technical specifications, system configuration, testing, training, and go‑live support. Serve as subject matter expert for processes and SAP technology. Drive operational efficiencies and distribution velocity for customers using SAP S/4HANA supply chain execution applications. Handle functional aspects of analysis and design, producing functional specifications and test plans. Guide and troubleshoot during implementation. Define and complete required tasks on time with minimal assistance. Judgement in deciding when to seek assistance. Act as lead resource for team members. Set and follow standards. Facilitate involvement of other groups or individuals to solve problems. Keep Project Manager informed. Suggest tools and processes to improve operations. Review team deliverables for adherence to standards and quality. Qualifications
Understanding of key business drivers and business benefits driven by SAP S/4HANA EWM. Knowledge of supply chain business models, SAP S/4HANA EWM and wireless technologies. Functional knowledge of differences between WM, S/4HANA EWM, decentralized EWM and S/4HANA EWM. Familiarity with material handling systems and integration to SAP WM and non‑SAP WM solutions. Strong warehouse, distribution and transportation logistics business process knowledge, with APICS certification preferred. Provide guidance on best‑practice warehouse processes and functions. Speak business language, guide counterparts toward the right SAP solution, and translate business requirements into technical requirements. Manage and lead blueprinting / design / discovery workshops for SAP S/4HANA eWM/EMW and WM requirements and fit/gap analysis. Understand breadth and depth of deliverables and how the solution fits the larger picture. Conduct presentations to all audiences. Participate in workshops with clients, discussing business processes and best practices. Communicate with team members and clients in a clear, consistent, and professional manner. Allocate time, prioritize tasks, and accurately scope tasks and project phases. Excellent interpersonal and teamwork abilities; build and maintain strong client relationships. Demonstrated experience in managing transformational initiatives. At least three (3) full‑life‑cycle implementations as an ERP Project Manager with multi‑module implementations (Finance, Sales, Production, Purchasing, Warehouse). Minimum eight (8) years prior transformational ERP consulting or equivalent industry experience. At least three (3) years’ experience in proposal and business case development. Experience managing 5 to 10 resources. Remote role; willingness to travel up to 100%. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required. Salary Range: $183,300–$240,600 a year
