Monday through Friday 8 am to 5 pm
Pay:
$22/hr, sorry no vacation or holiday pay. You can take time off, it would be unpaid.
Must have the ability to stand for extended periods of time.
The job will be shipping/receiving as well as mailroom responsibilities.
The right candidate will be able to work well in a team and have leadership skills.
Essential Functions
Operate high-level mail and finishing equipment, including mail inserters, sorters, postage meters, and finishing equipment in an automated, high-speed/high-volume environment
Perform packaging, posting, and fulfillment activities, including production mail labeling, mail merges, folding, insertion, and kitting
Manage electronic input, packaging activities, and posting fulfillment for high-volume operations
Perform charge-back reporting for postage, air express, local delivery, and fax services
Provide mailing address cleanup services, including use of mail cleansing software
Coordinate automated and manual finishing and mailing processes
Implement, maintain, and manage mail distribution and tracking systems
Use customized software to update and maintain mailing address databases
Conduct barcode address quality reviews and validation of internal mail addresses
Serve as focal contact for special or unique mailings and shipments
Receive, sort, log, distribute, and deliver mail, packages, and supplies on scheduled routes
Track, trace, and resolve mail issues with USPS, express, and local delivery services
Prepare outbound mail and packages and coordinate pickups and deliveries, including USPS
Perform quality checks on outbound mail and shipments
Handle electronic mail distribution (open, prep, scan, and distribute)
Perform shipping and receiving using automated tracking systems
Monitor, order, and replenish mailroom and shipping supplies inventory
Arrange alternative courier or shipping services to meet customer requirements
Fully operate, clean, maintain, and coordinate service for all mail and shipping equipment
Follow all mailroom security procedures and compliance standards
Oversee general mailroom operations, including shipping and receiving activities
Skills
Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
Ability to read, write, and follow English instructions
Strong customer service and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and work with minimal supervision
Data entry proficiency
PC and Internet skills (intermediate level), including downloading/installing files and completing online forms
Intermediate proficiency in:
MS Word
(tables, headers/footers, sections, forms, mail merges)
MS Excel
(multiple worksheets, charts/graphs, basic formulas)
Working knowledge of
MS PowerPoint
Working knowledge of account-relevant applications (e.g., Adobe Acrobat, file conversion, graphic arts tools)
Basic knowledge of networking (e.g., adding/deleting network printers)
Basic knowledge of Digital Front Ends and functional knowledge of Mac systems when required
Experience operating mail and finishing equipment, including:
Inserters
Finishing equipment
Postage meters
Envelope printers
Scales
Pitney Bowes Mail Management Systems
FedEx and other shipping systems
Ability to estimate and schedule mailing jobs, including staffing, workflow, and timing
Ability to train and mentor other mailroom associates
Driving capability if required by the role
Experience
1–2 years of experience with mailroom operations, mail procedures, and operating mail equipment
Education
Minimum: High School diploma or equivalent
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
