Job Summary A Senior Program Manager at Tokio Marine Global Services (TMGS) uses their analytical skills and extensive knowledge of management tactics to deliver cyber program initiatives for the Tokio Marine Global Fusion Center. They will lead highly complex, multi-disciplinary programs from start to finish while providing quality control to meet goals and stay within budget. Working directly with the Head of Cyber Defense and the Global Fusion Center Officers and functional leads, the Senior Program Manager is responsible for organizing resources, planning requirements, managing schedules, identifying and managing risks, and communicating clearly with all internal and external Group Company stakeholders. The GFC US works in close collaboration with the GFC Japan leveraging global resources and programs to implement cyber services across international group companies. They are responsible for overseeing the implementation of Global Fusion Center programs and initiatives at scale that will help increase efficiencies, reduce cyber risk, increase maturity and achieve a higher level of success for the global organization.
Essential Job Functions
Responsible for leading the initiation, planning, tracking, execution, and delivery of major strategic initiatives and complex programs across all GC’s
Provides status to all levels of the organization on the progress, risks and issues on their projects and programs
Develops program governance, identifies and obtains needed resources, assembles and leads a cross functional team, and defines clear objectives for each team member
Creates detailed work plans and timelines, adapts strategic goals into executable steps, identifies and sequences activities, as well as drives dependency identification and management needed to successfully implement the programs
Integrates program efforts, continuously assessing and refining approaches and plans to deliver objectives, addresses conflicting and changing priorities, serves as the implementation arm of the program sponsor and/or steering committee, and provides insights in end-to-end execution as well as strategic thinking on overall project/program execution
Monitors and ensures quality of program deliverables
Works with core team and key resources to develop and monitor deployment schedule, strategies and tools to support the implementation of programs
Exercises consistent, independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance
Communicates technical issues, impact, and risk mitigation strategies in business terminology that can be communicated to and understood by non-technical resources
Builds strong relationships with business and technology leaders. Understands business area opportunities and challenges, process or system impacts to all related business or systems areas when implementing recommended solution to obtain business objectives
Initiates and ensures project management and methodologies are followed and change management procedures and supporting tools are used in executing all projects and programs
Manages the deliverable estimation process, resource allocation and efficient utilization; negotiates resource conflicts with other project, program, or resource managers as appropriate
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in related discipline (Masters preferred) or equivalent practical experience
10+ years of project management experience guiding medium to large sized programs/projects to implementation. Project Management Institute PMP Certification preferred
Program Management Certification preferred
Experience with Tokio Marine processes and procedures preferred
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Expert in Microsoft Project
Experience managing projects and programs in financial services or insurance companies; commercial property and casualty insurance a plus
Expert in Microsoft Office Suite
Expert in Monday Project Management software
Strong analytical ability with the capability to determine the root cause of problems and issues and provide solutions
Strong customer service orientation (responsive, consultative, collaborative and accurate)
Strategic thinking: Applies organizational acumen to identify and maintain focus on key success factors for the organization
Experience managing 3rd party vendors in requirements, development, testing and staff augmentation
Strong interpersonal relationship building skills: able to work with a variety of people and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner
Excellent communication skills combined with experience leading a matrix project team
Superior attention to detail
Ability to juggle multiple, competing, frequently changing time-sensitive deadlines and priorities
Excellent teamwork, critical thinking, analytical, judgment and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of organizational politics and political tactics; ability to effectively navigate formal and informal communication and decision-making channels
Highly proficient in use of project management discipline and best practices (PMBOK driven)
Salary range: $130,000 to $194,000. Ultimate salary offered will be based on factors such as applicant experience and geographic location. Our company offers a competitive benefits package and bonus eligibility on top of base.
