Job Summary AEC Peer Leaders support student success by facilitating Peer Supplemental Instruction (PSI), tutoring, and/or academic coaching sessions.

Responsibilities

Perform duties as a Peer Supplemental Instruction (PSI) Leader, Peer Tutor, and/or Academic Coach as assigned

Attend all mandatory Peer Leader training sessions and meetings

Participate in AEC-sponsored campus events

Facilitate assigned PSI, tutoring, and/or academic coaching sessions

Submit accurate attendance records and session summaries in a timely manner

Perform other duties as assigned by AEC staff

Qualifications

Must be currently enrolled in a minimum of 6 credits at Georgia Gwinnett College.

Must maintain a 3.0 GPA.

Must have earned an A in any class that they support.

Must possess excellent written and oral communication and computing skills.

Must be in good academic standing for the duration of employment.

Must be in good conduct standing with the Office of Student Integrity for the duration of employment.

Must maintain a regular weekly schedule.

Must possess attention to detail and superior organizational skills.

Must handle confidential information and follow FERPA guidelines.

Must exhibit competency or proficiency in the subject matter of the hire.

Must deal tactfully and courteously with students, faculty, and staff.

Must use the Internet and electronic mail systems.

Must establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, faculty, staff, and administration.
