Buyer At Children's Hospital Of Wisconsin
As a Buyer at Children's Hospital of Wisconsin, you'll play a key role in ensuring our clinicians and staff have the supplies, equipment, and services they need to deliver exceptional care. This is a fast-paced, relationship-driven role where your attention to detail and service mindset truly make a difference.
What You'll Do:
Manage procurement transactions for assigned departments and serve as their primary point of contact
Purchase supplies, equipment, and services in alignment with established policies and procedures
Recommend vendors and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal teams
Partner with Strategic Sourcing and Value Analysis teams to identify cost-saving opportunities
Support the organization by understanding department needs and sourcing the best solutions
Actively use and maintain the Materials Management Information System (MMIS)
What You Bring:
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred
2+ years of supply chain experience in a fast-paced office environment
Strong interpersonal and communication skills you collaborate easily with staff, leaders, physicians, and vendors
A service-oriented mindset and a high level of personal accountability
Experience with MMIS systems strongly preferred; PeopleSoft or web-based MMIS experience is a plus
Proficiency with Windows-based software including Outlook, Excel, and Word
