Procurement Analyst

Job Description The Procurement Analyst ensures that products and services are procured in the best interest of the state. This position is responsible for obtaining information technology (IT) related goods and services required by the agency, evaluating IT vendors and contracts including RFQ, RFP, and RFI. The role is project-based and requires research, negotiation skills, and evaluation of services. Recommendations for supplier selections are based on research and support business areas in negotiations. The position applies broad theoretical job knowledge, statewide procurement rules, and financial principles to procure new and existing IT products and services across multiple categories.

Responsibilities

Obtain IT goods and services required by the agency.

Evaluate IT vendors and contracts, including RFQ, RFP, and RFI.

Conduct research and negotiation to recommend supplier selections.

Provide support in negotiations for business areas.

Manage financial and procurement functions related to IT products and services, including Software, SaaS, Hardware, Cloud Infrastructure, Telecommunications, IT implementation, Advisory and Managed Services, and emerging technologies.

Work independently under general supervision on procurements that are difficult but not typically complex.

Qualifications

Required:

Procurement experience (must be displayed on resume), IT Asset Management, Software Licensing experience.

Preferred:

Experience presenting reports on data, Google Workstation, Excel, Invoice experience.
