Your Role at Dollar Tree As a Merchandise Assistant Manager, you’ll work with the Store Manager to lead a dynamic team, create positive customer experiences, and focus on merchandising and freight processing.
Responsibilities
Assist with all store functions and day‑to‑day activities.
Perform opening and closing procedures.
Protect and secure store cash and assets.
Adhere to all policies, safety guidelines, and corporate directives.
Maintain store areas, including stockroom and sales floor, to company standards.
Process corporate directives such as Pull and Hold/Destroy, Task Compliance, and Key Survey requests.
Keep the store clean, including bathrooms, floors, and trash.
Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and associates.
Other duties as assigned.
Additional Duties
Process receipt and return of DSD merchandise.
Manage freight flow in accordance with productivity standards.
Order and stock merchandise needs, including frozen & refrigerated, in accordance with productivity standards.
Ensure the sales floor is sales‑effective.
Plan, merchandise, and maintain Clip Strips and Power Panels with sales‑effective items.
Plan and implement monthly Sales Planners.
Your Skills and Experience
Prior retail and management experience preferred.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
Ability to lift 30–50 lbs. with safe handling and frequent standing, walking, and repetitive lifting.
Ability to work in a high‑energy team environment.
