Position Summary The Vault Supervisor supervises the day-to-day operations of the vault consistent with Empyreal's goals and objectives, customers' expectations, and regulatory requirements. This newly created position is located at the cash processing center in the Rancho Cucamonga area where you can focus on getting the job done.
Major Responsibilities
Communicates positively in a team-oriented work environment both in person, by phone, in writing, and through computerized and other electronic means.
Provides effective day-to-day supervision of teller personnel.
Supervises the processing of all incoming and outgoing currency, schedules employees, determines priorities, assigns work, controls workflow, and resolves problems and bottlenecks.
Ensures that all Federal Reserve Deposits are prepared to standard and documentation is correct.
Supervises daily balancing of vaults and maintains set cash limits.
Supervises each teller's daily reconciliation.
Monitors teller staff and provides feedback and guidance.
Assists staff with locating cash discrepancies and more complex tasks.
Investigates, reports, and resolves variances and operating issues and notifies appropriate managers.
Ensures team operates efficiently and produces high quality work.
Reviews timecards, tracks and addresses attendance issues directly with employees.
Assists with the development and implementation of processes and procedures.
Ensures staff is aware of and follows all policies and procedures and complies with regulatory requirements and security protocol.
Trains, cross-trains, and develops employees.
Addresses performance, personnel, and personal conduct issues, coaches and disciplines employees as appropriate.
Evaluates staff performance and conducts performance reviews.
Makes recommendations pertaining to employee status changes.
Maintains vault records and completes audits and reports.
Travels as requested to help set up new locations, employee training, filling in for others, and performing other assignments.
Models and supports the company's vision, values, and desired culture.
Fills in for tellers and other personnel as needed.
Performs other duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
Stamina to work 50 to 55 hours per week as needed.
Knowledge of or ability to use bank software and systems.
College education or military experience is desirable; exceptional problem-solving and management skills are required.
Excellent interpersonal skills are required.
Positive attitude and ability to be a positive member of a team is required.
Excellent observation skills and attention to detail.
Excellent recall and retention of information.
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
Ability to work under pressure dictated by event schedules and project timetables.
Ability to read, understand and interpret written and verbal instructions and reports.
Physical Requirements
Ability to travel occasionally within the district.
Sitting for prolonged periods.
Moving about to accomplish tasks.
Reaching overhead, and at or below shoulder level.
Repeating motions, which includes the wrist, hands, and/or fingers.
Near and far visual acuity.
Use of stairs.
Communicating with others to exchange information.
