Retail Store Associate – Rowan
Role : Customer‑obsessed Studio Sales Associate at the
Mall at Short Hills
studio location.
Hours : Hourly, non‑exempt, reporting to the Studio Manager. This is a part‑time retail position with open weekend and flexible weekday availability.
What You’ll Be Doing
Customer Service : Warmly greet customers, check appointments through POS systems, help clients choose a piercing or hypo‑allergenic jewelry, and professionally answer questions about piercing procedures, aftercare and product details.
Sales & Product Knowledge : Promote Rowan’s non‑piercing jewelry, aftercare kits and other related items; maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of product styles and care instructions; meet or exceed individual sales targets and convert piercing customers into non‑piercing jewelry customers.
Studio Maintenance + Operations : Keep the studio clean, organized and stocked with necessary supplies; follow health and safety regulations; assist managers in inventory restock, pricing and display upkeep.
Team Collaboration : Work closely with Studio Managers and Studio Nurse Piercers; participate in team meetings and training sessions; support studio‑wide goals and maintain a positive work environment.
Administrative Duties : Process transactions accurately, assist with regular inventory checks and maintain accurate customer records including consent and waiver forms.
Ideal Availability Open weekend availability; flexible schedule during the week, nights and holidays.
Experience & Qualifications
Retail or service industry experience is a plus.
Independent thinker with a can‑do attitude.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Basic math ability and flexible with working nights, weekends, holidays.
Physical ability to lift up to 25 pounds, stand full shifts.
Commitment to teamwork, flexibility, and willingness to lend a hand.
