The Loan Doc & Proc Team Coordinator is a seasoned professional role that applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge, contributes to the development of new techniques, and improves processes and workflow for the team. The Coordinator integrates subject matter expertise within the area, understands how the sub-function relates to the broader organization, and helps coordinate objectives across the team. The role evaluates moderately complex issues, weighing alternatives and balancing conflicting situations using multiple information sources. Strong analytical, communication, and diplomacy skills are required, and the Coordinator regularly leads coaching and training of new recruits, influencing decisions and providing services that directly affect team performance.

Responsibilities

Manage preparing and reviewing loan documentation while providing support to a variety of loan process tasks.

Process and close loans independently within a complex loan operations environment.

Apply industry, business standards, and practices of loan documentation processes.

Use analytical judgment and data analysis tools to recommend process improvements to senior management.

Lead and guide a small team.

Resolve most loan‑related problems independently and handle complex issues with latitude.

Interpret data, prepare reports, and present findings to management with recommendations.

Design and analyze complex reports related to loan documentation to satisfy management requirements.

Participate in and support project implementation, applying project‑management skills.

Interpret data and recommend new products or platform upgrades for loan documentation processes.

Identify policy gaps and formulate policies that streamline related work processes.

Minimize risk to the bank through solid procedural understanding, reducing errors and adhering to audit and control policies.

Manage, escalation, and resolution of all loan‑documentation requests, inquiries, and errors in a timely manner.

Understand how the team integrates with others to accomplish sub‑unit objectives.

Provide informal guidance and on‑the‑job training to new team members.

Interact with external customers to disseminate or explain information.

Assess risk when making business decisions, protecting the firm’s reputation and complying with applicable laws and regulations, and escalating control issues with transparency.

Qualifications

5–8 years of experience.

Solid knowledge of business processes, systems, and tools used in the loan process.

Demonstrated understanding of loan processes, procedures, products, and services.

Familiarity with managing, preparing, and reviewing loan documentation.

Ability to identify, mitigate, manage, resolve, and escalate risks and issues.

Awareness of risk types, policies, and control measures.

Compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, and adherence to internal policies.

Education

Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience.
