Role Description
Work with portfolio managers and credit analysts to implement investment decisions efficiently.
Negotiate and execute the purchases and sales of high yield bonds, leveraged loans, and other credit instruments via Bloomberg messenger, phone, or electronic platforms (Marketaxess, TradeWeb, Bloomberg ALLQ).
Build and maintain relationships with the sell‑side counterparties, including sales, trading, and research.
Provide real‑time market color, flow updates, and price moves to the portfolio managers.
Develop a deep understanding each account’s unique investment guidelines and apply that knowledge during the trade execution and allocation process.
Skills, experience, qualifications and knowledge required
Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or a related field.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple requests from different groups (Investment, Compliance, Client Service, Operations) simultaneously.
Demonstrate strong communication and collaboration skills in a fast‑moving environment.
Proficiency in Excel, Bloomberg AIM and electronic trading platforms is a plus.
Basic understanding of credit fundamentals.

*base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, corporate and functional title and duties, job‑related knowledge and advanced degrees, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign‑on bonus, restricted stock units, discretionary awards and eligibility for commissions for applicable sales roles in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered.
