Automation Personnel Services is seeking an experienced
Plastic Production Supervisor
to join a well‑known and reputable plastic manufacturing company in South Houston, TX. As a Plastic Production Supervisor, you will play an essential role in warehouse operations, overseeing all aspects of the production process and personnel to ensure safe, efficient, and high‑quality output
Pay Rate $25.00 - $28.00 depending on Experience
Schedule and Hours 4:00 pm to 2:30 am - Monday to Thursday
Plastic Production Supervisor Duties and Responsibilities
Supervise extruder operators and material mixers to ensure safety, quality, and compliance with company procedures.
Oversee equipment setup, start‑up, shutdown, and troubleshooting to prevent downtime or failure.
Evaluate employee performance and support hiring, training, coaching, and corrective action.
Report shift issues, incidents, and maintenance needs to plant or operations management.
Ensure smooth shift handoffs and be able to perform duties of extruder operators and material mixers as needed.
Communicate with warehouse staff on raw materials and finished goods.
Plastic Production Supervisor Qualifications and Requirements
Strong knowledge of extrusion, injection molding, or similar production equipment
4+ years of manufacturing or production supervisory experience (plastics or extrusion preferred)
Familiarity with control plans, materials testing, and quality standards
Understanding of safety procedures, 5S, and continuous improvement practices
Ability to troubleshoot equipment and support hands‑on production tasks
Must be able to pass a Drug Screen and Background check.
Job Type Full‑time, temporary to hire
